Raffael Longo

Boutique de Mariage Punta Chiara is proud to announce the newest addition to its team, dress designer extraordinaire Raffael Longo.

A graduate with a degree in design from Montreal’s prestigious Lasalle College, Raffael’s experience with a multitude of design houses and fashion shows helps put Boutique de Mariage Punta Chiara at the forefront of the local wedding industry.

For this Italo-Argentinian Montrealer, the road to Punta Chiara was an eventful one.

At the tender age of 16, he found himself sketching and creating wedding and evening gowns. His talents for concept and illustration eventually led him to his original career choice, architectural design. However, three years into the architecture program at College St-Laurent, he realized his true passion was for fashion. So he went from designing buildings to designing clothing.

After his freshman year at Lasalle College, where he initially was making clothes for both sexes, he narrowed his focus to women’s apparel. For several years following his graduation, he was recruited by the school to help plan and participate in its annual fashion and design extravaganzas.

This budding chef and painter is also well versed in interior decorating and has transformed many homes and reception halls for weddings and Sweet 16 parties.

In the summer of ’97, he was among a select few to be chosen by the McCord Museum to display his own art deco-inspired fashion collection.

Today at 36, Raffael specializes in wedding and prom dresses. He even created his own bride’s gown as well as his mother’s, grandmother’s and all of the bridesmaids’ dresses for his wedding in 2002! A daring feat only to be tempted by the strong of heart!

So if you have a wedding, prom or event that requires a beautiful and unique gown, Raffael is on-staff and ready to design the dress of your dreams.
